Pink Lady® apple Swans

Ingredients

  • 4 Pink Lady® apples
  • A splash Lemon juice

Full preparation

  1. Cut each Pink Lady® apple in half
  2. Cut one half into two wedges and brush all the exposed apple with lemon juice (to stop the apples browning).
  3. Use the wedges and, make 4 layers of corner cuts, taking care not to cut the whole way through - or to cut yourself!
  4. Gently push the layers apart from the bottom so they fan up, becoming wings.
  5. Cut a thick slice of the apple half & free hand cut out your swans head, using the pink skin on the edges as the forehead & tip of the beak
  6. Use a pip or a chocolate chip for the eye
  7. Place the two wings against each other with the head wedged in between
  8. Enjoy!

Tip - You can make any animal with wings - so try out a Dragon or a Kiwi! The 'Wings' also make great ferns if you place them on their own.
