New Zealand Pink Lady® Food PhotographY Instagram Competition - #PinkLadySnapsNZ

The Promoter

We are New Zealand Pink Lady Growers Association NZPLGA (NZBN 9429043067978) the Master Licensee for Pink Lady® in New Zealand, and the promoter of this competition.

The competition

This competition is running in association with The Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year but is not subject to the same judging process.

The 2022 competition will be open from 12am on 20th September 2022 to 11:59pm on 20th October 2022.

Following the end of the competition an overall winner will be selected.

How to enter

Entries must:

Be uploaded to Instagram and comply with all Instagram rules and regulations

Feature food in some aspect (filters can be used)

Use the hashtag “#PinkLadySnapsNZ” in the text accompanying the image

Reference or tag @PinkLadyApplesNZ

Be uploaded, with the appropriate hashtag and reference, within the competition open period

Not be sexually explicit, offensive or inappropriate or infringe the rights of any third party. Where your entry features a third party who can be identified in the image, you must ensure that you have their consent to submit to image before it is uploaded.

No purchase is necessary, and there is no charge to use Instagram for these purposes.

We do not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, corrupted or otherwise fail to be considered, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure or issues with the Instagram platform of any kind. Proof of uploading will not be considered proof of entry. We may at our sole discretion extend the monthly entry period in the event of issues with the Instagram platform.

By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

One winner will be selected by the competition judges Manja Wachsmuth & Fiona Hugues, whose decision is final.

Eligibility

The competition is only open to Instagram users aged 13 or over except employees of the promoter, The Food Awards Company Ltd, any associated agency, and their immediate families.

If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain written parental or guardian consent to enter and claim your prize. We may ask the winner to provide proof of age.

No bulk, machine generated, consumer group or third party entries will be accepted.

We reserve all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.

The Instagram usernames of the winner will be shared from the @PinkLadyapplesNZ Instagram account following the competition.

Prize

Winners will be picked following the end of the competition and notified through Instagram direct message within 7 days of the judging with details of how to claim their prize. If any prize is not claimed within 7 days of notification an alternative winner for that prize will be chosen.

The winner will have their winning image displayed at the next Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year virtual Exhibition (and in the physical exhibition should that go ahead), they will also receive a Pink Kitchen Aid 4.8L Artisan Stand Mixer KSM160 (valued at $1,119 NZD) and Pink Lady® apple kitchen goodies.

The prizes are not negotiable, transferable or refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part. The prizes cannot be exchanged for any other prizes of lesser value.

We reserve the right to provide an alternative prize of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Permissions - Limited Free Usage

Pink Lady® NZ will only acquire limited usage rights for works submitted to a competition. Limited usage rights means they must be non-exclusive, and usage is restricted solely to promoting the specific competition the works were submitted to, or future competitions where that competition is a recurring one, and no other purpose. This is termed "limited free usage". Pink Lady® will not use the images to form any part of an advertising campaign.

Winning and shortlisted works can be used to promote the competition in perpetuity subject to the conditions set out on the Bill of Rights page dealing with competition winner's archives. Non-winning and non-shortlisted images can be used to promote the competition, and no other purpose, subject to a time limit not exceeding (3) three years following the announcement of the winning entries for the competition the non-winning and non-shortlisted entries were submitted to.

If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that we may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce you as a winner and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes. You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by us.
